Whiskey, Cigars & Jesus might be the retreat for you!
On this retreat we will gather in fellowship, hear interesting talks on the art of making great spirits (both the beverage & eternal kind) and cigars, share great food, relax with a daily cigar (or more), grow in our walk with the Lord and spend time in worship!

When and where.
The retreat will be held at Sanctus Ranch Retreat Center in Pipe Creek, Texas. We will open registration at 3pm on Friday, October 13th. Our first gathering will be at 5:30 and then we will have dinner. We will conclude with Holy Mass on Sunday at 11 am.
All men are welcome to invite your families to join our closing Mass.
The leaders.
The retreat will be led by Fr. Richard Goodin and Dan Sevigny.
Fr. Richard is Pastor of St Francis Parish in St Francis, Kentucky. His parish is 7 miles from the Makers Mark distillery. As a born and raised Kentucky boy, he knows his way around bourbon whiskey and cigars!
Many men who have attended before say they would “Follow Fr. Richard through the gates of hell.” - he certainly is the man for the fight!
Dan Sevigny is the founder of Sanctus Ranch. As a lifelong Catholic he believes that we shouldn’t live two different lives, one life of our Sunday worship and the other our normal day-to-day, but we should live lives that are congruent.
Becoming friends a couple years ago, Fr. Richard and Dan have shared a few cigars and beverages. This retreat was born of one of those gatherings!
What I should bring.
Please bring comfortable clothes, jacket, personal toiletries & your Bath Towel. Also, participants will be asked to bring a bottle of your favorite spirit and cigars for the weekend. All smoking will be outdoors.
Please also bring your bible, rosary, prayer books, cigar cutters and lighters.
Bring your Dad, your brother, your son, your friend.
Know someone who loves whiskey, but doesn’t smoke? Or someone who loves a cigar, but doesn’t drink? What about someone who loves Whiskey & Cigars but doesn’t know Jesus? Bring them too! All men are welcomed.
What is included.
Your registration includes accommodations for the weekend at Sanctus Ranch. There are multiple options to choose from. All snacks, soda, water, coffee & tea are provided.
We will begin our meals with Friday evening dinner at 6:30. You will enjoy Breakfast (8:30) and Lunch (12:30) on Saturday. Prepare to feast on Saturday evening (6:00) with Ribeye Steaks, Grilled Shrimp, our famous Baked Potato Salad, Green Beans & Rolls! Sunday Breakfast (8:00) will round out our meals for the weekend.
Time with Jesus.
On Friday there will be priests available for confession. We will have Mass. We will share in the Divine Mercy Chaplet, Vespers, Nocturnal Adoration and independent prayer.
This is your RETREAT! All scheduled activities are optional (you should really come to Mass!), if you would benefit from a nap, take it! Want to smoke another cigar, do it! Have Whiskey in your coffee, okay! Visit with a friend that is here, great idea! Stay in the chapel for more prayer, AMEN!
