Lumen Christi Academy
Beginning in September 2023 there will be a new option for 6th - 12th grade students. We are excited to announce that Lumen Christi Academy will open in September here on the grounds of Sanctus Ranch.

Lumen Christi Academy is a 6th-12th grade Microschool located in Pipe Creek, Texas which is about 40 miles northwest of downtown San Antonio. In the inaugural year, we look to have a bit more than 40 students. It will be a Classical School modeled on the Socratic method involving a dialogue between the teacher and students. The thought provoking questions help the students to formulate questions of their own. This helps to foster critical thinking and a rapid absorption of the material related to the subject being taught.
The Middle School and High School will feature a four day school week Monday-Thursday. Some Fridays will be reserved for non-mandatory field trips. There will be two retreats per school year. We have two priests who will be on the faculty teaching Latin, Catechism, Philosophy, History, and English. We will also have a layman teaching math and science.
Daily celebration of the Mass will be central to our school day. Students will benefit from two full-time priests serving on the faculty, including one who will also serve as school Principal.
We look forward to a bright future full of promise and growth. The future is in a faithfully-sound education that prepares our youth for a vocational or professional calling in the secular world. Importantly, Lumen Christi will provide an environment conducive to contemplation to a life of service to the Church as a priest or religious brother/sister. A small school like Lumen Christi will put the students in close proximity to priests, faithfully traditional teachers, and an institution being guided by the Light of the Most Holy Trinity.
