The Calling

Very early in their marriage, Dan and Jennifer Sevigny began to feel a strong calling to the idea of building and running a retreat center. Both having a love and joy for event planning and hosting large community gatherings, they knew welcoming guests and providing great hospitality would be a perfect fit for them.

Dan is the founder and CEO of Igniter Strategies, Inc. He has been a leader in corporate training and coaching in the arenas of sales development, entrepreneurship and business management since 2005. Dan has also been deeply involved in Catholic ministries. He has directed and lead numerous retreats for adults and youth groups, served as a youth minister. Dan also served as the chairman of Vita Nova, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization for three years. In that role, he created and facilitated retreats for the people of the diocese of Manchester, NH.

Jennifer has a passion for cooking and is always working hard to make events the best that they can be. Along with raising 6 children, Jennifer has been actively involved in many ministries. As a teen, Jennifer was the recipient of the “Eagle of the Cross Award” for leadership and conviction of her beliefs. She continues to lead others and inspire them to deeper faith in everyday small ways.

Together with his wife Jennifer, they started the Catholic Family Weekend retreats in southern New Hampshire that are currently in their 11th year and going strong, bringing families together and closer to Christ.

For over fifteen years, they have remained open to this calling. Their six children, having grown up in this environment are now catching the call to serve in similar ways.

The Vision

The multi-use nature of Sanctus Ranch, for both religious and corporate retreats and events, is at the heart of what makes it so special. It is the sincere goal and vision of Sanctus Ranch to create an environment where corporate training events fill its facilities each week to learn, excel and prosper professionally, and religious groups each weekend to learn, pray and prosper spiritually.

Sanctus Ranch is fulfilling this vision. The greater San Antonio area and surrounding hill country has a rich history of religious retreats, as well as being the birthplace of the ACTS retreat. This combined with its booming population growth and business-friendly economy makes it excellent timing and a prime location for a religious retreat center. On the corporate side, Igniter Strategies, Inc. provides the anchor for corporate training classes and retreats during the week. As a tenant of the ranch, Igniter Strategies has a track record of hosting several events per year for sales training and professional coaching and mentoring.
